Getting Started
How do I start using AiEnglish?
Simply download AiEnglish from the App Store using the link below. Follow the onboarding process. You'll be guided through setting up your English variant, native language, and learning level. You can start with 10 free practice messages daily.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required to start using AiEnglish. You can begin practicing immediately after downloading.
What languages are supported?
AiEnglish helps you learn English. You can choose from American English or British English variants. The app supports native speakers of over 20 languages including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Polish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more.

How does the AI conversation work?
Our AI creates realistic conversations based on your selected topics and learning level. You can type or speak your responses, and the AI will provide natural replies while giving you feedback on your word choice and grammar.
What topics can I practice?
Free users can access Food, Life & Social topics. Premium users get access to 200+ topics including job interviews, travel, business meetings, academic discussions, and specialized scenarios.
How does the voice recognition work?
We use Apple's built-in speech recognition services to transcribe your speech. This allows for real-time conversation practice. Your voice data is processed locally and not stored permanently.
Can I save phrases I learn?
Yes! You can save important phrases during conversations to build your personal phrasebook. This feature helps you review and remember useful expressions for future conversations.

What's included in the free version?
The free version includes 10 practice messages per day for 7 days, access to Food/Life/Social topics, basic AI conversations, and phrase saving. This is perfect for getting started with English conversation practice.
What does Premium include?
Premium unlocks unlimited conversations, advanced topics, personalized AI lesson creation, progress analytics, subject to generous fair use limits. You get access to specialized scenarios like job interviews, business meetings, and academic discussions.
How much does Premium cost?
Premium is $7.99/month. New users get a 7-day free trial to experience all Premium features before subscribing.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID account settings. Go to your Settings app on your iPhone, then select [Your Name] > Subscriptions > AiEnglish > Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple and must be requested through Apple Support or your Apple ID account. We don't process refunds directly, but we're happy to help with any issues you're experiencing.
What is the Fair Use Policy for Premium users?
While Premium offers "unlimited" access, we have fair use limits to ensure quality service for all users. Premium users get up to 200 AI messages per day, 4,000 per month, 500 feedback analyses per day, 300 suggestions per day, and 1,000 translations per day. Voice processing, topic access, progress analysis, and phrase training remain truly unlimited. These limits are designed to prevent abuse while providing generous usage for normal learning activities.
Content Safety
AI-Powered Content Safety FAQ
What content is blocked by the safety system?
By default, violence and adult content are blocked using OpenAI’s Moderation API. Other topics (e.g., politics, religion, medical, financial, self-harm, illegal activities) are generally allowed to support comprehensive language learning. Sensitive content may show a warning instead of being blocked.
Can I customize the content safety settings?
Yes. You can enable/disable content safety and choose which categories to block. Violence and adult content are blocked by default.
Is my conversation content stored for safety analysis?
No. Safety analysis is done in real-time using OpenAI's Moderation API, and content is analyzed and immediately discarded. We don't store conversation content on our servers. Only aggregated analytics events (without any conversation text) are sent to Firebase for service improvement. There are no moderation action records kept.
What happens if content is incorrectly blocked?

How does the AI-powered content filtering work?
We use OpenAI’s Moderation API to analyze messages in real time. The system assigns category scores and decides whether to allow, warn, or block. Only violence and adult content are blocked by default.
What is AI confidence scoring?
Each analysis includes confidence levels that inform safety decisions. In some parts of the app, you can view a transparency indicator showing the assessed safety level and confidence.
Troubleshooting
The app is not responding. What should I do?
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, restart your device. Make sure you have a stable internet connection, as AI conversations require connectivity. If problems continue, contact our support team.
Voice recognition isn't working properly
Check that microphone permissions are enabled in your device settings. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > AiEnglish and ensure it's turned on. Also, make sure you're speaking clearly and in a quiet environment.
My progress isn't being saved
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If you're not signed in, create an account to sync your progress. Check that you have sufficient storage space on your device. If issues persist, try logging out and back in.
The app crashes frequently
Make sure you're running the latest version of the app and iOS. Close other apps to free up memory. If crashes continue, try deleting and reinstalling the app (your progress will be saved if you're signed in).
